Duke guest Dr. Sherilynn Black will be presenting a special lecture and fireside chat on the topic of “Forming a Generative Mindset in the Evolving Academic Landscape”.

Dr. Black is the Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement and Assistant Professor of the Practice of Medical Education at Duke University. With her extensive expertise in education, leadership, and faculty development, this session is sure to deliver an enriching conversation about fostering innovation and adaptability in academia’s ever-changing landscape. The session will be conducted in an informal format with opportunities for Q&A throughout.

The session will be co-hosted by Meifang Chen, the Chair of Women in Academia, and Marcus Werner, the Director of Faculty Development.
