The DKU Women in Academia (WiA) group will collaborate with the Office of Faculty Affairs and the Faculty Development Committee, together host a one-day WiA Retreat on Friday, May 8, 2026, at DKU Visitor Center. The retreat welcomes all female and non-binary colleagues (faculty and staff) to join us in this meaningful event.

“How to Support Women Rising” will be this year’s theme. The retreat is featured with a dynamic Keynote Speech by Sherilynn Black, Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Advancement, Assistant Professor of the Practice of Medical Education, Duke University. The retreat also includes a panel discussion and interactive roundtable sessions designed to foster dialogue, networking, and actionable insights.
