Publishing a scholarly book is a significant milestone in an academic career and plays an important role in promotion and tenure. However, for many first-time authors, transitioning from dissertation writing to crafting an academic book can be daunting. This workshop will provide practical guidance on navigating the complexities of academic book publication, including how to write a compelling proposal, approach publishers, negotiate contracts, and respond effectively to reviewers.

Join our distinguished panel of DKU and Duke faculty, who will share their personal experiences and offer valuable strategies for every stage of the publishing process. The workshop will be moderated by Prof Hyun Jeong Ha and Prof Marcus Werner.
